Captain Greg Davis Captain Greg Davis got a taste of the coast with his Grandfather shrimping, crabbing, and fishing each summer in Savannah. After living in Atlanta and Rhode Island He moved back to Savannah, bought a boat and began the daunting task of learning the in and outs of the surrounding marshes. Next came the Captains license and a new Kenner 21 Pro-v center console, and in 1997 the first full time inshore fishing guide in Savannah was in business. Savannah Light Tackle Fishing Co. was formed and Greg along with longtime friend Matt Williams, began providing the best light tackle and fly fishing charters in the Savannah area. Capt. Greg has arranged and hosted fishing trips from the Bahamas, Sea of Cortez, Idaho, and Alaska. He is now on his ninth season as a Guide on the Tsiu river in Alaska for Coho Salmon and Steelhead. In late winter, back in Georgia he guides Quail hunters at Dorchester Shooting preserve with his German Short-hair Pointer, Hanna, Greg loves to travel, fish, hunt, explore new places, and meet new friends. Captain Greg will no doubt offer one of the most enlightening and enjoyable fresh or saltwater experiences you will never forget!Captain Matt Williams A Georgia native and full time guide, Matt Williams has over 14 years of guiding under his belt. He is dedicated to giving a quality fishing experience to people of all ages and walks of life. Five species of Salmon, Striped Bass, Halibut, Red Fish, Tarpon, Rainbow Trout, Steelhead, Artic Grayling, Speckled Sea Trout, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Flounder, Dolly Varden, Jack Cravalle, and Cobia are just some of the fish he has hooked anglers into. >From the expert spin and fly fisherman to total beginners he loves to take people fishing. |
